New pictures.

I took these pictures when we were at mom and dads this weekend for Thanksgiving.  It's coming along!

The sights.

A few weeks ago when John, Carson and I were visiting my parents at the barn I got these shots.  We were sitting on the upstairs back porch and saw 2 deer and a hummingbird.  Mom is so proud that her hummingbird feeder works.

On Sunday Morning we saw a deer grazing in the front yard.

On Friday we poured the cement for the front pad in front of the house that the porch would go on.

Here are the photos of the front porch in process - a trailer load of lumber - balancing the 8 x 8 posts that we got free - Howard planning the side supports.  I will add photos of the finished deck later.

Every morning this is the view I wake up to - the big pine tree with the little hill in the background - the sun rises and turns the sky pink then blue then yellow. 

Here is the kitchen window view - the view is across our yard and onto the neighbors field with the hay bales rolled up and the trees beginning to turn.

The finishing touches!

We have finished most of the big stuff and we are tweaking stuff now. Howard is building the front deck. Mike is creating his own room downstairs - called by mom the "Man Cave".

Enjoy these photos of us eating for the first time upstairs, Sandy in her kitchen, the bathroom sink, the living room with carpet and furniture, a view of Howard's handiwork as he spent a week on the backhoe tractor cleaning more land, and a view from the distance.

Passed the Final Inspection!!

About the photos - Hello everyone - the photos in the last post were the pictures of us getting ready for our final inspection. We had been busy tiling, drywalling, blowing in insulation, textureing the walls, painting and finally putting in the electrical fixtures and outlets.

As of Monday, September 8 we are all inspected and approved. The inspector came Monday afternoon! Yipee! It will be a couple of days before we have the power from the temporary pole connected up to the house and then we will begin moving furniture upstairs from the temporary living spaces we had set up everywhere downstairs.

I will post new photos and information when I next get connected online in Tennessee. I tried the Blackberry route but even it did not work out at the farm, so I am back to a regular cell phone and will be checking out the availability of using the local Libraries computers to check email etc.
