We have finished the front porch of our home and are enjoying it to the fullest!
You can come and join us for iced tea and a visit with the hummingbirds and finches!
Here is a view of our land to the east from the top of the roof of our home.
Howard and my brother John did most of the finishing - here I am hanging our bird feeders while they finish putting in screws on the metal.  While I was up helping them my mom came up the ladder and took a photo of my brother John and I goofing off.

Howard and John did a lot of work in the hot sun to get it finished.

The Front Porch Roof is going up!

Here we are on Saturday and Sunday starting the roof, the boys were doing the heavy lifting, I was staining the boards that you will see on the inside roof - come join us for breakfast, lunch or dinner, when we get it done.

Were did the summer go?

Here are some photos of stuff we did this summer around the farm and to the farm, there are photos of the wildlife we see daily - hummingbirds, wild turkeys, and deer.

We acquired chickens, finished the chicken coop,

played with the grandson and visited with friends and family,
and even went to Florida once for my parents 50th Anniversary.

Currently we are finishing our front porch roof. When that is done I will post the finished photos and then probably only post on Facebook. Enjoy!

An update.

Becky here!  We spent the weekend at the barn and I told mom I would post some updated pictures.  They have done so much work and it looks great!

The entry.  Not quite done (most projects follow this pattern out there, ha ha) but looking good and so much better than the mud that used to be there.

Look at all this grass!

Some outside shots of the barn.  I'm sure there's some before pictures on here somewhere.

The door to dad's workshop.

The garden has been their big project lately.  We are all enjoying the wonderful strawberries and there are so many other things planted!  In the distance you can see the chicken coop where we now have little chicks!

A country flower planter with the gorgeous grass in the backdrop.  I can't believe how dad has cleared the land!

And these are the christmas trees, yay!!  There are 100 of them and they will be moved and spread out when they get bigger.  It looks like it will be a while before we have a tree.

I didn't get any inside pictures, next time maybe.  But I did catch a picture of the great room downstairs.  You can't see the fireplace but you get the idea. What a fun room to relax in as a family and watch movies!

Sandy spent her day off in Chattanooga with Becky and Carson - Here we are having fun "driving" around the mall and going up and down the escalator!
