Last Summer we spent a month in Belgium, I'm sure some of you remember. One of the things I enjoyed doing was taking cool photos - and some of the coolest photos I took were of the amazing graffiti.
I kept all those photos and look at them occasionally because they are interesting. As I was reading through Psalms the other day I came across one that reminded me of the graffiti I had seen and of that great Rich Mullins song " While The Nations Rage ".
I thought it was appropriate to think about this as we move into the Passion Week soon.
an
d the rulers take counsel together,
against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying,
“Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”
Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,
“As for me, I have set my King
on Zion, my holy hill.”
I will tell of the decree:
The LORD said to me, “You are my Son;
today I have begotten you.
Now therefore, O kings, be wise;
and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son,
lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
for his wrath is quickly kindled.
